Masseria Salamina

    Relax and taste

    Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of relax and gastronomy, staying in the swimming pool under the shade of centuries-old olive trees and with and extra-virgin olive oil tasting.

    Culture and wine & food in Itria Valley

    You will be surrounded by beautiful landscapes of Itria Valley, with its dry-stone walls, pinnacles and trulli, squares and old churches.

    You will visit the city of Martina Franca, called the “pearl of the Baroque” and the nearby Locorotondo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and probably, one of the most important tourist centre of the trulli-sea-cave district.

    In the afternoon, after the lunch in restaurant, guided tour of a famous wine cellar followed by wine tasting.

    Cooking Class at a traditional Masseria and visit to the maritime cities

    Continues the journey among the historic Masserias of Itra Valley and the local typical products with tasty recipes of the good cuisine to be prepared under the guidance of expert local chef: a cooking class in Masseria with lunch.

    During the afternoon, guided tour of Monopoli, one of the most ancient maritime cities of Puglia, and of Polignano a Mare, famous for its balconies overlooking the sea.

    DAY 4

    Cooking class inside a typical trullo and a journey in the heart of the land

    Experience a cooking class in the trullo. Under the guidance of a professional and expert chef, you will learn the local typical dishes, based on vegetable products, inside a typical Trullo situated in Noci. Following the lunch with the prepared dishes.

    In the afternoon, you will reach Castellana Grotte to visit its famous caves. The caves of Castellana are one of the most important speleological complexes in Europe. The tour winds along a distance of 3 km, a unique guided tour of the caves to more than 60 meters deep in an amazing scenario made of stalactites, stalagmites, concretions, incredible shapes, fossils, canyons and caves with fantastic names.

    DAY 5

    Mozzarella-making in Alberobello, capital of Trulli

    In the morning you reach Alberobello for a guided visit of this UNESCO World Heritage site which includes more than 1.000 trulli.

    As follows you proceed towards a little Masseria in the countryside of Noci where you will see the mozzarella making process. You have also here he lunch, still based on typical local dishes.

    The last afternoon of your holiday is not scheduled so you can spend it in the way you most prefer.
